Giovanna received her B.A. in Marketing with a Concentration in Professional Sales, from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. She earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law with a certificate in Public Interest Law.
In college, Giovanna was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. In law school, she was a member of Society of Asylum and Immigration Law.
During law school, Giovanna was a volunteer student attorney at the DePaul College of Law Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic. She also has served as an extern and volunteer for the National Immigrant Justice Center’s Detention Project and for World Relief Chicago. Giovanna traveled to Texas to volunteer with the South Texas Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project, helping unaccompanied minors and asylum applicants.
