Leah A. Duckett
Leah has been an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Robert D. Ahlgren and Associates since 2003.
Leah received her B.A., cum laude, in Spanish and Political Science from Marquette University. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Speaker on a variety of topics relating to family-based immigration, removal defense, and ethical issues relating to immigration law in past presentations before the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) – Chicago Chapter and the Chicago Bar Association.
Leah is currently serving as the Secretary for the American Immigration Lawyers Association – Chicago Chapter. She also serves on the CBP and Ethics Committee of the AILA Chicago Chapter.
During law school, Leah was a Civitas Child Law Fellow and was a member of the Appellate Advocacy Honors Program, Niagara Moot Court Team. She earned honors for the highest grades in several courses at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She also interned for the Honorable Judge Patricia A. Macias, 65th Judicial District, El Paso, Texas and for the Attorney General of Alabama.
